The Home Bound Programs goal is to enhance the stability and well-being of individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Central Florida by providing immediate, transitional, and sustainable housing solutions through strategic partnerships and dedicated housing initiatives.
We aim to leverage partnerships with local shelters, the Department of Human Services (DHS), Housing Authorities, and motels to provide immediate housing options for clients facing urgent need. Plans include developing a comprehensive database of available housing resources and establishing a streamlined referral and placement process to expedite solutions for those in critical situations.
Our goal is to acquire and utilize three properties as transitional housing for clients who demonstrate readiness for rapid stabilization. This 90-day program is intended to support their transition to permanent housing. We plan to identify and purchase suitable properties and design a supportive program that includes case management, financial planning, life skills training, and other services tailored to prepare clients for independence.
We plan to collaborate with the Housing Authority and other housing providers to secure long-term, affordable housing solutions for clients transitioning from the Home Bound Program. This includes forging agreements with housing providers to prioritize or reserve housing units for program graduates and assisting clients in navigating the application process for public housing and housing vouchers.
In the future, we intend to ensure that clients moving into the transitional housing receive holistic support services aimed at rapid stabilization and preparation for permanent housing. Plans include implementing targeted support services such as mental health support, employment assistance, and access to healthcare. We will also monitor progress and adapt services as necessary to address individual needs and challenges.
